Abstract

INTRODUCTION. Innovation is fundamental for organizational growth and differentiation; however, its effectiveness derives from the existence of a culture of innovation, where individual characteristics play a fundamental role OBJECTIVE. The present study aims to identify the differences in the perceptions of workers of an organization according to the relationship between the culture of innovation and existing learning, taking into account sociodemographic aspects such as gender, level of schooling and the occupational hierarchy. METHOD. For this, an inventory composed of two questionnaires was applied, including a space for sociodemographic variables RESULTS. Our results indicated that the gender and the hierarchical level did not present statistically significant differences in the mean comparisons made; however, the level of schooling was a variable where differences were shown. The behavior of the correlations was different in all cases DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS. Our research reflects the importance of considering the characteristics of the people who integrate the culture of the organization in order to understand the different perceptions expressed and to enhance the processes of organizational management at the time of elaborating strategies and making decisions related to innovation processes.
