Abstract
INTRODUCTION. The implementation of public health recommendations by the SARS-CoV-2 are a priority for Ecuador. In particular, the implementation of biosafety measures for companies is a necessity for the continuity of their activity. OBJECTIVE. Design and validate a Check-List of biosafety measures for COVID-19 in the workplace. METHODOLOGY. Qualitative-quantitative study carried out in participatory phases and field work. The content validity ratio was determined by applying an expert panel, a Delphi method adapted for consensus and reliability by means of statistical calculations and inter-observer agreement in two companies. RESULTS. The final Check-List made up by 12 dimensions and 37 items, the reliability of belonging (α = 0.931) and adequacy (α = 0.961) for the set of items was unanimous for most of the items. The Kappa index showed moderate values (K = 0.57) and almost perfect values (K = 0.85). CONCLUSIONS. The set of items shows valid and reliable criteria that justify their use for companies in the country.
