Plagiarism, redundant publication, data fabrication or manipulation, inappropriate authorship, and the omission of conflicts of interest are considered unacceptable practices.
The following practices are considered unacceptable:
- For authors:
Plagiarism or self-plagiarism
Data fabrication or manipulation
Inappropriate authorship
- For reviewers:
Use of confidential information
Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- For editors:
Editorial decisions based on personal interests
All manuscripts are subjected to similarity detection tools before or during the review process. In the event that an ethical breach is identified, the following operational procedure will be applied:
Receipt of the complaint or internal detection.
Preliminary review by the responsible Editor.
Formal request for clarification from the corresponding author.
Evaluation of documentary evidence.
Consultation with the Editorial Committee when necessary.
Possible decisions include:
Rejection of the manuscript.
Publication of a correction.
Publication of an expression of concern.
All decisions will be duly substantiated and formally recorded.
Authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts that could influence the editorial process.
Conflicts include, but are not limited to:
Financial relationships
Study funding
Institutional relationships
Personal or academic relationships
Conflicts will be evaluated by the Editor before making an editorial decision.
