Digital Preservation

CienciAmérica guarantees the long-term digital preservation of all published content through the following mechanisms:

1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN):
   The journal participates in the official preservation network of the Public Knowledge Project, ensuring distributed storage and recovery in the event of failure of the main server.

2. Permanent DOI Assignment via Crossref:
   Each article is assigned a persistent digital identifier (DOI), ensuring permanent discoverability and citability.

3. OAI-PMH Protocol:
   Interoperability through the OAI-PMH protocol enables metadata harvesting by external repositories and preservation systems.

4. Institutional Repository:
   Published content is also backed up in the institutional repository of Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica.

 

Contingency Policy

In the event of editorial discontinuation, the contents will remain accessible through the aforementioned preservation systems and the institutional repository, ensuring permanent access to the published scientific production.
