Corrections and Retractions

CienciAmérica is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections will be published when errors are identified that do not invalidate the central results of the article.


A retraction will be issued when:

  • There is evidence of scientific misconduct.

  • Data fabrication or falsification is identified.

  • Substantial plagiarism is confirmed.

  • The results are invalid due to a serious methodological error.

Retractions:

  • Will be clearly identified.

  • Will be linked to the original article.

  • Will explain the reason for the decision.

The procedure is based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
