Abstract

The world population still does not adapt to this new way of living and the abysmal changes that COVID-19 has generated. A pandemic that has changed our rhythm of life and is undermining our mental health by being so unpredictable, since so far there is no vaccine or an established treatment for this virus, which has made all human beings vulnerable globally Due to the fact that there are few countries in which it has not ventured, this uncertainty means that it is not certain that this will happen, which has generated an effect on the mental health of the population in their moods such as depression and anxiety, aspects that will be described in this study. Concluding that there is a high prevalence from an early age, with possible beginnings in childhood and adolescence and with a higher incidence in young people between 18 and 24 years old, with women having a higher level of depression.
