Abstract

This is how the drastic, structural and profound changes in the history of humanity are presented. COVID-19 brings with it not only a health crisis but a social crisis that requires a change in the economic model. The pandemic increases poverty and exacerbates inequalities between nations and between people. It strongly affects developing countries, especially the vulnerable population, and hints at the disarticulation and inefficiency of health systems in terms of coverage and medical care. In a reality as complex as that currently experienced in the world, it is essential to rethink from the different disciplines that make up science in order to offer alternatives to society, to rebuild a fairer system and in harmony with the Pachamama. The COVID-19 virus today tests humanity to redirect its path or accelerate its extinction process.
