Abstract
This text compiles the Proceedings of the I International Congress of Research in Psychology and Human Experiences and the XIX Psychology Week, conducted by the Faculty of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, from October 10 to 12, 2018, in its facilities of Quito.
The compilation of this information is of great importance to make known the most important aspects of the research that is carried out in the country, in the field of Psychology. The aim is to open a space in which the knowledge built in Ecuador is presented and disseminated, thereby encouraging other professionals to take an interest in research and also participate in future events.
In this first version of the congress we have given the opportunity to researchers from different areas of psychology to present their work, which indicates the variety of topics in which it is possible to investigate and also the multiplicity of edges and approaches that can be use when researching in psychology. From there, also derives the name of "human experiences" that we have given to the congress since, on the one hand, research is a form of human experience that builds knowledge for the world and, on the other hand, it is a way of approaching to the great plurality and complexity of the experiences of human beings. The Congress and the presentations that were presented in it, are a sample of this.
