Abstract

This study shows as INTRODUCTION the attention of the educational systems of the countries of Latin America during the emergency due to the COVID-19. The OBJECTIVE of the study is to show the trajectories given in the countries of the region to attend to the entire student population that has had They interrupt your learning activities to stay at home. The METHODOLOGY is included in a qualitative study, applied in 19 countries, describing the student population, as well as the interventions given in the context of the emergency. The RESULTS show a population of 161 million students at all levels, with 13.21% corresponding to early childhood education, 42.02% primary education, 29.47% secondary education and 15.30% higher education. The interventions are focused on a home worker, seeking national coverage. The DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS fall on three important analyzes: i) National plans, programs or projects of home studies with distance care modalities, ii) Distance education with a virtual care modality is the main strategy of working with students and iii) Radio, television, as well as printed resources, are other working strategies to reach corners where connectivity is not possible.
